We have an opening for 2 full-time Outside Technical Sales Representative that will be responsible for representing product offerings within Vast Resources portfolio of Electrical consumables and solutions. One in Northern Ontario and one in the Thunder Bay area. This includes Motors, Soft Starters, VFD’s, Medium & Low Voltage Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, Distribution Products, Safety Products, Transformers, Instrumentation, PLC’s, and Storage Solutions. Outside Sales Representatives can be based anywhere within the sales territory. You will work with End Users, Engineering Firms, OEM’s, and Contractors.

The Role and Responsibilities
Deliver legendary customer service with the help of our sales support team. Generate sales, prospecting, business development and marketing.
Five years demonstrated ability to successfully sell similar products in the assigned geographical area.
Set, track, and achieve sales activity goals by developing monthly / quarterly / annual sales and forecasting reports.
Foster relationships with new and existing customers by exploring new business opportunities, promoting our product offerings, and providing solutions based on technical requirement.
Coordinate orders with internal business units and manufactures to ensure our customers receive a positive experience, quality products and flawless execution.
Ability to effectively present ideas and influence buying decisions.
Technical education and background preferred.
Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical documents review and comment.
Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Superior organizational skills - a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
Elevate our brand equity through events, trade shows and training sessions.
Experience with Salesforce would be an asset.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:
1. Display a knowledge and compliance to company Safety Work Policies.
2. Consistently follows company control panel building procedures and best practices.
3. Maintain a professional clean and organized work area.
4. Proficient using the correct tools to efficiently complete the necessary tasks.
5. Proficient in reading & interpreting complex enclosure and sub-panel layout drawings.
6. Proficient in laying-out enclosure cut-outs without supervision.
7. Knowledgeable of drill and tap sizes, hole sizes, trade sizes.
8. Proficient at interpreting electrical drawing symbols and language.
9. Proficient at reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics.
10. Knowledgeable in wire types, wire sizes and wire colors.
11. Proficient at associating drawing symbols with bill-of-material components.
12. Proficient at quality mechanical abilities such as cutting, mounting of components
13. Proficient at accurately identifying, making, and applying panel and wire ID tags per the design drawings.
14. Displays professional workmanship to achieve required quality expectations.
15. Able to lift 30 pounds.
16. Able to be standing for long periods of time.
17. Must be able to read and understand mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic drawings, schematics, and diagram
18. Must be able to work weekly and Saturday overtime hours when needed

Qualifications:
Prior control panel building experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
Experience with basic hand and power tools
Electronic background and mechanical abilities
Dependable attendance, attention to detail, with a focus on quality results
Experience working with PLC’s, Soft starters, HMI, Variable Frequency Drives, MCCB, Transformers, Motors, Power Panels, Safety Systems, and Programming.

We are hiring an electrical apprentice to join our team. The electrical apprentice will be responsible for completing all tasks assigned which may include assisting with installations, troubleshooting, repairs and calibrations of electrical systems and equipment.
Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities:
Learning from the master electrician and completing all assigned duties.
Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of equipment and electrical faults.
Traveling out to various public and private spaces to assist the master electrician.
Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Updating work logs, client accounts, and handling other administrative duties.
Ordering replacement parts and equipment as needed.
Completing electrical installations and carrying out various maintenance duties.
Working irregular hours and overtime when required.
Communicating with clients in a professional, courteous manner always.
Electrician Apprentice Requirements:
A relevant license and certification.
Practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
Ability to handle criticism appropriately.
A valid driver's license
